D's Big Brother Bag

Ok, so I've gotten D's Big Brother bag pretty much done. All I am missing is a pair of brand new pj's for his overnight at gramma's house. Here it is:

This is the only good picture I could get of the nursery because of the lighting. This is the furniture I got, and of course there are still details that need to be finished, but mostly done. Random Musings

So as I get closer and closer to my due date, I am getting both excited, and a little sad. I am so excited to meet the new baby, but I am a little sad to lose D as my only child. For 4 years he has been my one and only. I love him more than anything else in the world. I know I will love the new baby just as much, but I feel sad that I won't be able to give D all my attention anymore. He has always been my snuggle butt. I love cuddling up to him, and giving him all my attention and love. After not having another one for 4 years, I was starting to just deal with the fact that I couldn't have anymore. I was starting to be content with being a mommy of an only child. Now we are having another, and I am so happy, but it's a big change to how I was staring to think life was going to go. I plan to spend the next 12 weeks helping D to understand what a new brother means, and to spend as much time with him as possible. Ok, now I am done rambling. PS I am really freaking tired lol Don't judge me. :)

My Super Fun Trip To L&D Yesterday

So yesterday I started to freak out because I hadn't felt little man move for over 24 hours. Seriously, not one movement, when usually he is super active all night long. I called my doctor's office, and the nurse said I should probably go in to labor and delivery and get it checked out. SO, I called my mom and asked her to watch D. She very kindly agreed. When I got to her house she asked if I'd like her to go along. I hate going to these things alone, and I was super nervous, so I said yes. We then drove 2 hours to the hospital. I got checked in, and laid down. They found the heartbeat immediately, which was a relief. Then they gave me some jello and water. I kid you not. 5 minutes after I drank the water and ate the jello the little poop started moving. I had all 10 of my kick counts in 10 minutes. Little brat lol. So I got to go home after they measured the heartbeat for a bit. While I was extremely relieved that it was a false alarm, the little weiner could have avoided that whole trip by moving... Just a little bit.

Mr D's 4th Birthday

Today is my older son D's 4th birthday. We are having a dinosaur birthday party for him, and I am so excited! He is finally at the age where we can actually play games and do fun things! In honor of his birthday, I thought I would post some belly pics from my pregnancy with him :)

Dr's appt

So yesterday I had an anatomy scan done to rule out problems and check on the baby. He is still a he, no denying it this time, and he is super healthy! :) Everything is how it should be.He has all the proper working organs, and the placenta is high and my cervix is closed! Wahoo! So it looks like all systems are a go with this little one. Now to think of  a name :P

It's a.....

Boy! At least that's what she told me at my ultrasound today. The picture she gave me wasn't the greatest, but she seemed to have gotten a better look before he started moving and she took the picture, so I guess I'll go with it! :) I was SO sure it was a girl, but I guess that's why you don't make assumptions :) He seems to be healthy, I'll know for sure at my next doctor's appointment after they read the results. I can't wait! I just want to make sure this baby is healthy. Also, my husband is back today, so yay!

Random Post

I miss my husband. There, I said it. He's been gone for 3 weeks now, and I'm not even sure he'll be home on Wednesday like he's supposed to. :( I can't even talk to him because they don't have a phone up there. Boo. In other news, tomorrow is my doctor's appt to evaluate me for VBAC! I can't wait! I hope they let me do it. I also hope they do an ultrasound or listen to the heartbeat or something. I haven't got to check on my baby for a while :( Although gender/anatomy check is Wenesday, so I CAN wait if I have to. :) I'm so excited!!!!

Moving Sucks!!!

So this is what I did today:

This is my living room before. My husband brought in all of our crap from moving before he left and dumped it in the living room. Scary, right?!

Ok, so I had been working for a few hours now... Getting there!

And... AFTER! It took me forever, and I am pooped, but I got it done! Yay! Now to finish the rest of the house! It'll be far easier than that was though! lol
